Annual planar surface areas were derived from the topographic maps included in the yearly reports. A total of 610 data points were created within the annual surface area dataset. The information within this dataset is consolidated and organized for ease of access and wider application to engineering analysis and research projects.

However plentiful H. leucospilota may be in Malaysian seas, there is a conspicuous lack of recorded mitochondrial genomes from this region. Herein, we describe the mitogenome of *H. leucospilota* originating from Sedili Kechil, Kota Tinggi, Johor, Malaysia. The Illumina NovaSEQ6000 sequencing system facilitated the successful sequencing of the whole genome, from which mitochondrial contigs were assembled using a de novo approach.
