A total of 120 patients (70% male; mean age 58 ± 13 years) experienced acute type I aortic dissections requiring emergent surgical repair during the study period. The patient group included 22 (18%) with leg ischemia, 9 (8%) with acute stroke presentations, 5 (4%) with mesenteric ischemia, and 5 (4%) with arm ischemia.
